Proprium is a company that enables an individual approach to businesses for software implementation. Since no two companies are the same, Proprium's primary purpose is to tailor solutions using various tools and strategies. Besides that, Proprium also offers various job opportunities to students.

Learning Opportunities

As a student, I joined Proprium as an Implementation Assistant. I performed various tasks, including working on projects and managing online communities. In my few months of work, Proprium provided me with everything I expected from a student job, if not more. Getting acquainted with the tasks and the scope of work was relaxed and enjoyable through conversations with Laura, Sara, and Anja, who did an excellent job. Additionally, the introduction was facilitated through organized training sessions that eased my work and navigation on the job.

In Proprium, I also had the opportunity to learn to work and navigate in no-code solutions, which I learned about individually but always had team support when something was unclear. The aspect of work at Proprium that suits student opportunities the most is undoubtedly the flexible working hours with the option to work from home.

Typical Day at Proprium

The workday begins with checking assigned tasks, followed by their execution. When solving tasks, it is necessary to track the time spent on them and monitor the hours worked by students. For specific uncertainties and questions, there is a communication channel where notifications and updates in Proprium are tracked. Communication is also possible through regular online meetings.

Working on projects involves creating and further working on databases, automating certain segments, as well as numerous discussions and analyses within the team, and making meetings and video calls essential to facilitate communication. Tasks related to managing online communities include monitoring posts, notifications, messages, and inquiries from community members, as well as designing and posting the same.

Skill Development

The skills I developed during my time at Proprium, which I would highlight, are primarily teamwork. Working in a team on real projects improved the skills I gained in college, as well as communication skills. Also, through teamwork, I became more successful in participating in discussions, leading to more decisive decision-making. What initially posed a challenge was receiving feedback on tasks and the inevitable improvement of tasks, but with continued conscientious work, I successfully overcame this obstacle.

Conclusion

Based on my several months at Proprium, I can confidently say that my knowledge and skills increased through working on real projects, good working conditions, even better colleagues always ready to help, and constant communication. I recommend every student looking for their first or next job to come to Proprium to improve their knowledge and skills, gain practical experience, and see how a student's job can be done without pressure and stress.
